How to Use the Chronotrack D-Tag

Are you ready to use a new timing system? This is called the D-tag timing system. It is a paper-disposable timing system that uses radio frequency identification or RFID to capture the time as runners cross the finish line.

Here are some steps on how to put it correctly:

Step 1 – Remove D-tag from race bib

Step 2 – Separate D-tag from instructions

Step 3 – Slide D-tag under laces.  Remove paper tab to reveal adhesive.

Step 4 – Form a loop and join ends of D-tag using the adhesive tab by lining up holes. Attach D-tag clip (if provided)

Step 5 – Rotate D-tag, number-side up.

Do not flatten.  D-tag should remain rounded. Round is good, flat is bad.  It should have the D shape to get the time accurately.

How to wear the timing chip

This is a must read for those who will be running with the TIMING CHIP.  This is very important so that your chip time and your performance during the race will be recorded accurately.

 (1) The timing chip must be securely placed

(2)It must be placed as near to the ground as possible.  The best place is your shoe.
One way to secure the timing chip is by tying it to the shoelace before you make the loop.  It will be more secured than tying it up after the loop since it wont easily fall off when the tie gets loose while running.  Check out this article so you will know how to tie your timing chip on your shoe.
